Nutrition plays a big roll when it comes to having a healthy body and reproductive system. The building blocks for hormones are found in the foods we eat. The healthier our bodies are before pregnancy, the better the environment is to maintain a healthy pregnancy as well as to support a flourishing child.

This is going to be something I will be refining, changing, evolving over time, particularly through the different stages of pregnancy and breastfeeding. I find smoothies are great for on the go mornings, and they taste so good my husband even consumes them now!!

Spinach provides an incredible amount of zinc helping lower the risk of miscarriage and preterm labor.

Maca has long been used to promote sexual function of both men and women. It’s thought to boost libido and increase endurance. It has also traditionally been used to balance hormones and increase fertility.

Bananas are a great source of Vitamin B6, helping encourage egg development

Pineapple is a nutrient-rich fruit that is low in saturated fat and contains fiber that can help to ease constipation, a common complaint during pregnancy. If you’re trying to get pregnant, try eating pineapple during the week after ovulation because it contains bromelain, which thickens the uterine lining to help egg implantation.

Almonds are referred as “The King Of Nuts” because they are very nutritious. They are an excellent source of the healthy fats, protein, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, and vitamin E.

Ingredients - pop in a blender and go!

1 cup berries. These can be frozen

1/2 cup almond milk

1/2 cup of pineapples. Fresh is best but snap frozen out of season works very well

1/2 cup spinach

1T Maca Powder 1 banana. I often buy in bulk, allow to blacken then freeze 1 drop licorice (promotes consistent cycles)

1/2 cup of ice

ENJOY!
